Dawn Raid<\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Dawn Raid, usually held in the long days of summer, leaves Club HQ at the crack of dawn and makes a hundred mile round trip to the coast for a hearty breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Club HQ Shakers Lane, IP32 7BH to \u2026 a destination to be determined!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dawn Raid is our annual big ride to the coast, and in this our 100th Anniversary year the Raid will offer both 100 mile and 100 km versions \u2013 destination to be determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ride will leave the club room at 06:00 sharp. We head for the coast and a hearty breakfast, before splitting into different pace groups for the run back to Bury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weekend format is as follows:
– Leave Bury St Edmunds on Saturday morning
– 5 hours track time3 hours on Saturday afternoon
– 2 hours on Sunday morning
– Each session is run by an approved coach
– Accommodation at the on site B&B facilityFull English breakfast on Sunday morning
– Views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight
– Group meal on Saturday evening
– Return to Bury Sunday afternoon

The weekend is intended for ALL members. Previous trips have been fantastic fun with a great mix of riders from young to not so young, and from beginner to those with a little bit of experience. Non-riders are also welcome to come along and support! This will be a fun weekend to experience the thrill of riding the velodrome!
The velodrome is based at Calshot Activity Centre, Calshot Spit, Southampton and has a cafe with licensed bar serving drinks, snacks and meals all at reasonable prices!<\/p><\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
